JETBOY Bassist Fired During 'Good Clean Fun' Podcast; Audio Available
November 5, 2009JETBOY guitarist Fernie Rod apparently fired the band's bassist, Michael Butler (ex-EXODUS),this past Tuesday (November 3) during one of the podcasts Butler hosts — "Good Clean Fun". This came a day after JETBOY's drummer Doug Hovan reportedly quit the band following an argument over an apparent hierarchy between the founding members and the newer members in which band information and decisions were not shared with newer members.

JETBOY recently completed recording an EP of its first original material in 20 years, and is currently negotiating for its release later this year. In addition, a rock documentary film on the band is in the preliminary stages of being shot by Reality Check TV, which also produced the "mini-doc" included in JETBOY's last CD/DVD release, "The Glam Years", on Cleopatra/Deadline Records.
"The Glam Years" contained a DVD of a 1986 concert at Los Angeles' legendary Whisky a Go-Go (featuring a chock-full of extra interviews and photos) as well as a 21-track CD of the group's greatest hits.
